July 23-29, 2012

Davy has been working hard on his climbing skills this week.
Jumping on RE's bed, I wonder where he learned that.
On the stool in the bathroom, sad because he can't reach stuff.
 On the chair outside.
And on the couch without cushions, he still can't get up there with the cushions on.  Every time I turn around he's climbing up on something.
They really love to read books with Ricky.  Even though Amelia has this book memorized, she was still trying to read the words.  I'm so proud of her progress!
 Hugs.
RE loves to play in the sandbox, but usually cries when he's done because he doesn't like to be dirty.
Some evenings are cool enough to go outside.
Amelia loves to dress Davy up.
Last day of swimming lessons.  8 weeks, three days a week for $8 total, not bad.  I hope she's ready for the ocean.  I've been trying to explain salt water to her.
 Taking a water break.
This is a new game they call motorcycle. They sit on Papi and the person in front gives their arms as the handle bars and he moves them around like a motorcycle.  RE is moving on from cars to motorcycles.
 Ready for church.
Riding with Taylor in nursery.  His teacher said he would only ride if Taylor was on the back.

Dr. Davy.  He was carting around the doctor kit all evening, he fell down, but wouldn't let go of the kit.
 Twins.
RE hasn't taken a nap in a while, which makes him very tired in the evening.  He climbed in Davy's jumper and fell asleep.
Amelia had her last day of gymnastics class this week.  She really learned a lot and has really enjoyed it.  We aren't going to do the next session because of our trip to PR, but hopefully we'll resume in September.

Girls Camp 2012

This year for girls camp, they allowed the leaders to come up on Friday afternoon and stay through the evening.  Savannah was surprised when Cassidy showed up!
Sister Leatham is experiencing the joys of a baby bump!
Girls cheering on the bishop just before the downpour.
It was my first time to Camp Zion and it was really beautiful!
President Bentley and Bishop Rustand singing.
 Maddie and Celine.
We were in charge of afternoon time with the girls.  We did a little lesson on testimony and then we pampered them.  We did nails, facials, and hair.  Here I am braiding Lila's hair while she let her mask dry.
 Brittney relaxing.
Sister Rustand and Sister Sowards were on nail duty.
Our fearless leaders who stayed all week, Sister Wilson and Sister Lewis.
After ward time, we did snacks.  Sister Ivey made the girls peanut rice krispie treats.  They did a battle of the bishops.  Mostly improv stuff, not really competition.  It started pouring so we all ran to the ramada. Then we had some free time and dinner, sloppy joes!  Then we heard from the stake presidency and had our ward testimony meeting.  The bishop brought coldstone cake and cupcakes for dessert.  It was such a great day and the girls really had a fun week at camp!

July 16-22, 2012

We had lunch at the park with RE's best friend.  They are only a few weeks apart in age and usually spend one or two days a week together.
It's always a celebration when Papi comes home!
Amelia had a great time at activity day this week pretending to be a superhero.  We made a cape and she got a mask.  She was flying around the house all week.
Since Davy started walking, we let him go outside a little more (when it's not too hot).  He loves to try and eat the rocks.
We don't have  alot of space in the back, but she likes to try and ride around.
RE turned 2 and a half this week.  He will be moving up to the older nursery on Sunday.  Unfortunately, his teacher won't be moving with him.  Bittersweet.
Davy things he's a big boy.

Davy never falls asleep on the floor, but he was getting a little tired.  He is definitely the most snuggly of my 3.
Just one more week of swimming lessons.  Amelia can swim with the kickboard by herself now.  She really liked making new friends.
RE likes to goof off while we wait for Amelia to swim.  He put her goggles on and was being silly.
Playing trucks and wearing Amelia's "fancy shoes".  Ricky wants me to call it the terrific twos instead of the terrible twos.
With my sleepy boy.  He's had a little fever for the past few days, but is getting better.
You can see all 8 teeth.  He's got another coming on the bottom and the 1 year molars are on the way.
Despite all their fighting, Amelia really does love RE.

July 9-15, 2012

Snuggling with Papi.
RE loves cars, but especially this yellow one.  He went through a phase where he had to have it in his hands at all times, sleeping, eating, swim lessons.
They had some mini horses at the library.  We live pretty close to the library and try to go to storytime every week.
 And a huge one.
 Chillin'.
We got our minivan last November, and we love it.  There is so much space and the automatic doors are amazing!
Amelia has been playing dominoes for a few months.  She does a great job matching the tiles.  She is very excited to play with Abuelo and Abuela when we go to Puerto Rico.
Waiting to go to gymnastics.  Lucky for us, Kamilla sent us a bunch of leotards!
Amelia really enjoys eating corn on the cob.  Her favorite thing to do is put mashed potatoes directly on the corn and then take a bite.
Going in to playgroup.  They were all holding hands together.  We are really going to miss our friends when they move!
They decided to read the scriptures together.  Amelia kept saying "and it came to pass."
Davy likes to play with whatever his brother and sister have out at the moment.  He is such a smiley, snuggly boy.  His curls are taking too long to grow back though.
Davy loves to take everything out from under the cupboards.  RE was helping him.
Happy 6th anniversary!  We went to see "Hunger Games"  and had popcorn and an icee, woohoo!  Our friend was nice enough to watch all 3 kids so we could go out.  The last time we went out without kids was our anniversary last year.
Ready for church.  We have been struggling staying reverent in sacrament meeting.  This week we talked about being reverent and listening to the speakers.  We didn't take any snacks (we made sure the kids were full when we left the house).  The kids did so great this week, what a blessing!
